Google Drive is a free service that allows you to store files online (up to 15GB) and access them anywhere using the cloud. Google Drive includes free web-based applications for creating documents, spreadsheets, presentations, and more. These applications will be familiar to anyone that has used Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.). Anyone with a Google account automatically has a Google Drive account. Google Drive is one of the most popular cloud storage services today and is used by many companies, schools, and universities. Marion County Schools will be equipping all students with Chromebook laptops which depend upon the Google suite of apps. This workshop will introduce you to Google Drive and the associated apps and help you get started using it to create, edit, and share documents. Workshops are a mixture of presentations, demonstrations, and exercises. Class participants will be provided with links to a variety of useful resources and tutorials.
