Let's Talk About Designing and Sewing Clothes - *BothCraggs Wed, 6/1/22 110:00 AM12:00 PM $5.00
As a child, I learned to sew at my Grandmother's side. I was a very curious kid! She taught me how to make play clothes for my younger sister rather than spend time making doll dresses. I later graduated into making special event dresses for High School activities. My girl friends and I would visit high end Boutiques in Tampa just to get ideas! Then we would go to our favorite fabric store and buy patterns and material for our dream clothes. We made some lovely, one of a kind outfits and all on our own! How many of you learned to sew whether out of necessity or just a creative urge? Let’s talk and share our experiences and why most young people no longer design and sew clothes today.

This course is a continuation of a Spring Term Course. Catherine Kleier, our favorite lecturer from the botany class last fall , teaches this The Great Courses course - The Botanists Eye: Identifying Plants Around You. As she would say - "And why, you might ask, should you know plants names?" Join me to find out as I renew my delight in being able to name plants. (No need to have taken the earlier course.)
